Krizia - Fashion Delight

Loafing around London in gorgeous weather and seeing literally everyone around you dressed so fashionably, makes you want to look at the gorgeous Fashion labels all around!
Curiosity got the better of me and I entered a beautiful store with intriguing designs in the display that looked totally wow yet quite wearable. The store manager told me about the label (It was from Milan) and its 80 something designer Mariuccia Mandelli who earlier used to design for the Armani label and how she till date insists on working on her own designs. I felt special, like I had discovered a new brand and had been let in on its story.....I tried on some really cool dresses, pant suits and ruffle tops....All gorgeous. What a delightful discovery - Krizia Milano!

Gorgeous View - Taj Mahal Hotel

One lazy Sunday, as we made our way to all of 2 or 3 'sights' to show my visiting from the US cousins in Mumbai, we eventually ended up at the Taj Mahal Hotel. Lucky me, I got a shot of the gorgeous dome of the hotel from the inside. Such vivid colours and gorgeous design!

Vogue House

A recent trip to London took me to the Vogue House (International head quarters of Vogue Magazine). The quietly elegant building with Gold lettering was fun to visit. What's more is that the answer to the most often asked question - "Is there really a Fashion Closet?" is.......................... ..............................................................................YES :-)

Trying to make my office more French!

My office now is moving towards a more eclectic quirky French look...by no means is it done but here are a few things I remembered to take to work in the last few days!

Banana door stopper courtesy Tokyu hands store in Japan!

Fun contemporary Postcard collection courtesy Myspace India connections :-)

Pylones Visiting card holder from their kiosk at the Grand Gallery in Phoenix mills
Sci-Fi USB speakers courtesy Google Merchandise and a clock courtesy Radio One merchandise

The top favourites among my colleagues are:
a) the banana door stopper often mistaken for a real banana peel drawing initial looks of disdain, disgust or genuine concern for my mental health followed in quick succession by a big smile, laugh or guffaw

b) The alien spaceship like 'what the hell is that?' comment drawing USB speaker. It has so far brought in 3 people who I had not spoken to before into my office....and hence deserves the official ice breaker award!

More office updates in later posts!

Adding Chic to the Dark Corner

Technorati Tags: ,,

I am gradually dressing up my office. A couple of vases came first. I meant to buy some silk flowers to complete the style statement but two weekends have come and gone and it still stayed empty. Bought a few orchids and pretty red flower thingy to up the chic quotient of the forlorn corner. Finally a pretty Vogue research book completed the look! Thank God for gorgeous  Marketing collateral!

Fave Grammy Moments 2010

The Grammies were a total treat this year! Lovely music, great performances, strong melody and some nice discoveries of new music bands for me. Pink's acrobatic performance was sheer art. Lady Antebellum was a cool new find and the black eyed peas soared as always!

The view from my office

My view is a rack full of beautiful designer clothes. And, if I am lucky there may even be shoes today :-). Office with a cool view was a nice perk that I hadn't expected!
